TB recommends.. 02/09/2010
Welcome to the first edition of... TurtleBoy recommends! YAY! Okay, so... I usually like to hog all sorts of glory to myself, because frankly, I'm greedy and uh... love glory? But! I'm a huge fan of all things perverse, and well... I love Nifty :) Normally, I don't recommend stories that I've read there, however, there was this one story that caught me, swept me in, and disallowed any and all other activities until I was caught up (It's an ongoing story). Entitled "Sierra Inn" this story can be found in the adult/youth section of the the Nifty Archive, I'm sure you all know the sort. I don't know what exactly it was that captivated my interest; perhaps it was the writing, the emotion, or the way the author depicted a growing love. So give it a go, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! (The story is of a man and boy, 11 and 27) Also, I'm sure you've seen this video, but... I dunno... Apparently he's a friend of Justin Bieber, but... that's not why he's going to be posted, nor is it for his singing ability, actually I don't even think he's the one singing, but... you'll understand in a moment. It'll be kind of like a choose your own adventure story, but only with one fork in the road *gigGles* Moving along, I'm also going to be posting a few of my random short stories that have no plot, not real character building, no editing, no ... nothing... Hey everyone! Thought I'd let you know that I've gotten back the edited version of "Curse of Blue Mountain Lake" and I'm just going to look it over, maybe give it a quick polish, then it will be up and ready to read! YAY!?! Just a few side notices to go through here, As expected, I suck at short stories. Everything I write always opens up new doors for greater possibility. Which means, there are a few of the "Short Stories" That aren't going to be as short as I had initially intended them to be... I am, however, trying to avoid another series: they just take up a lot more time than I have at the moment, so instead I'm going to try for the "Novels" section. One of these stories, which has had its plot extended like mad!, is "Forever Dark" another is "Fallen" These two stories are what has been the MAJOR hold up concerning story releases... So, what I'm going to do is post one chapter at a time, just like The OA, and Submerged. That way everyone will have something to read while I work on the other projects, and it might actually look like I'm getting something done :D I apologize for the gaps in stories that I've promised. I suppose I jumped the gun a little, became over excited, and had to tell someone, hehe. I hadn't taken in all the hours of re-writes and plot thickening, character building and development, blah blah blah. Thought I'd just drop a line here and let everyone know things are still in motion! The site has be revamped! So far I'm pleased with the look, but what do you guys think? Moving along, I'm nearing the completion (revision) of another story! I'll be sending this one off to my brand spankin' new editor, Pete! Oh! That was the point of this blog! The second installment of Unintended has been planned and plotted, I know where I'm headed and I'm going to write the rough draft tonight! So make sure to leave some thoughts, if you have any that is :P The second title will be, as some of you already know, Unintended: Reconcile. I had a lot of problems trying to plot this story out! The first one did so well that I was a bit (a lot) apprehensive about writing another under the same title.... However, I think I have finally figured out where I'm going and confident that it will equal the last one :D So before I go, make sure to keep an eye out for: Liam's Oblivion, Curse of Blue Mountain Lake, and Amongst the Forgotten. Not to mention all those other ones... I'm just listing them as they get done, but don't worry! I will send out a Newsletter the moment a story is published! And would someone please leave a comment? *giggles* I've heard reference to what I've said in the blog, but no one ever seems to comment... Help a guy out, and let him know he's not talking to himself! Hey guys and gals! Look at me huh, two blog posts in less than a month! Wow, I've impressed myself! Anywho, thought I'd let everyone know that there are TWO stories that are just getting the last coat of polish by my editor Echo23, who is kindly slaving away for me so that I don't look like a fool... YAY! I mean... I'm getting better grammatically, but hey no one's perfect right? Oh! Also I've recruited a new editor as well! Everyone welcome Pete to the Turtle Club! He'll be helping to relieve Echo from hours of torment... apparently I have a comma use problem... *giggles* but I'm working on that :P I've just posted a poem, created by yours truly, and posted it on the main page... not sure why exactly, it'll move at some point, I just couldn't think of what else to put there at the time (if you haven't noticed I'm giving the site a minor tune-up) OH! Yeah, right... The two new stories are called: Liam's Oblivion and Curse of Blue Mountain Lake If you get a chance, after they're posted of course, drop me a line and let me know what you think; insight = good. Okay... So I haven't been sitting around doing nothing for the last SIX months! Holy crap! I forgot about this blog thingy. Blogs are beyond my mind's capabilities I suppose, so anyone that actually relies on blog posts here for updates... as much as I'd like to say, "Go check the blog" it's not gonna happen. I'll try to keep this 'thing' in mind as much as I can... however, ummm, best thing to do is either check back at the site for updates or harass my inbox hehe. Anyway, to the point! I've been writing a lot! So here's what's going to happen. I'm going to post several short stories before they're completely edited. They will be edited, but I've only got one editor at the moment and this is a lot of work I'm going to be dumping on him. Therefore, I'm just going to post the stories and chapters as I see fit and then replace them with the edited product as they get done. I hope my work isn't that sloppy though... I'm not hearing any complaints on the OA's grammar and errors lately so I suppose it's bearable :D Okies, I got work to do... and please excuse the "Discovery" story, it's crap I know... I was just board and that got me writing again... Kind of a get-the-hell-outta-the-silence-and-back-into-the-story-telling mode :D So yeah... it's crap, absolutely no purpose, and kind of embarrassing to display here, but it's there anyway :P So...
